Three inspirational, high profile women will speak at two key events being held in July for women working in Local Government.
More than 500 women working across all levels in the Victorian sector are expected to attend the 2015 LGPro’s Women’s Professional Development Forum and the 2015 LGPro Women’s Network Dinner, both being held on Thursday July 30 at Melbourne Park.
Australian of the Year, Rosie Batty and the founder of the Carmen’s muesli empire, Carolyn Creswell will present keynote addresses at the one-day Women’s Professional Development Forum.
Journalist and author Catherine Fox, a leading commentator on women and the workforce, is the guest speaker at the Women’s Network Dinner that follows the Forum.
These popular annual events are designed to address topical issues, opportunities and challenges facing women in Local Government.
The theme for this year’s Forum is: Which future will you live?
Concurrent sessions will be based on topics around being a trailblazer, a leader, an advocate and a collaborator.
The Dinner, which follows the Forum, provides a great opportunity for networking with others in the sector, while hearing from an influential speaker.
The winner of the 2015 Sally Isaac Memorial Scholarship Fund Award, which recognises women 35 years and under who have demonstrated achievements in improving community life, will also be announced at the dinner.
