Moreton Bay Regional Council has delivered the first win for a Queensland council in the Australasian Management Challenge.

Conducted each year, seven finalists representing each State and New Zealand undertake a full day of activities to decide which of the teams can work best together through a set of unrehearsed challenges and new contingencies.

The Moreton Bay Redcaps comprised staff members from the former Caboolture, Pine Rivers and Redcliffe Councils who came together in the months heading up to amalgamation as Moreton Bay Regional Council on 15 March this year.

Runner up was a combined city/country team from the New South Wales Councils of Randwick City and Temora Shire. New Zealand’s finalist from Waitakere City Council was placed third. The other State finalists were Yarra Ranges (Vic), Marion (SA), Burnie (Tas) and Swan (WA).
