Digital wireless innovation*

Do you need a wireless conference system for your Council Chambers that does not force you to compromise on features, functionality, security and performance?

Some councils have heritage listed chambers, or are simply not suited to wired installations because the layout of the furniture may change depending on the proceedings, or are just simply impossible to cable.

The DCN Wireless conference system from Bosch offers all the benefits of a wired system, with the added bonus of easy, low cost installation and portability.

The DCN Wireless is available as a simple ‘discussion’ system and each delegate can have their own microphone unit. Alternatively a dual delegate microphone unit is available where two people can share, but have their own ‘press to talk’ button.

There are a number of standard features that help you bring order to your meetings.

Firstly, the Chairman’s unit has an additional button that can override all other delegates. Audio from an external microphone for the public, or guest presenter, can also be fed into the system.

Electronic voting is also becoming a requirement for many councils, following the recent changes to some Local Government Acts.

DCN Wireless units are available with built in voting buttons, and a software package that allows results to be displayed in graph format as a group or individual results.

There are voting format options available such as ‘yes/no/abstain’, simply ‘yes or no’, or even ‘strongly agree/agree/neutral/disagree/strongly disagree’.

All signals within the DCN Wireless system are digitally protected against tapping or eavesdropping. The system is protected against interference from mobile phones and other equipment making use of WiFi.

The system features high capacity and easily removable chargeable battery packs that can provide up to 21 hours of talk time. To conserve power consumption during longer breaks, each unit is capable of a ‘sleep mode’.

This future proof wireless discussion system has been designed to accommodate everyone’s needs and is especially suited to Council Chambers.
