Regional Procurement® was formed in 2004 to assist Local Government achieve economies of scale benefits and reduced administration costs related to the tendering process.
Regional Procurement® has 54 members from nine Regional Organisations of Councils based throughout metropolitan and country New South Wales. Tenders managed through the Initiative are diverse and include (but are not limited to) the following:
- contestable electricity (metered and street lighting) and Small Sites
- traffic signage
- bulk water treatment chemicals
- small plant
- passenger, truck and earthmover tyres
- bulk fuel (ULP and distillate including B10 and B20)
- bulk bitumen emulsion and much more.
In 2009/2010 almost $50,000,000 in goods and services were purchased by our member councils through contracts managed by Regional Procurement®.
Regonal Procurement® is a Quality Assured organisation and provides a specialised Local Government Contract Management service to all member councils. Our team has a wealth of Local Government experience and is focused on securing the best possible result from each and every tender called on behalf of our members. Regional Procurement® comprises a Manager, two Account Executives and three Support Services staff.
