The Local Government Association of Queensland’s Economic and Regional Development Conference, Home Grown – Economic Development, will be staged at the Radisson Resort in the Gold Coast from 7-9 March 2007. This year’s conference will offer participants exposure to a wide array of exciting new ideas and best practice case studies of Councils in action.
Economic development support activity by Councils across Queensland is continuing to grow and the conference will showcase the commitment by Councils to supporting the growth of their communities. Speakers will share their insights into the big picture issues that will face our regions into the future. There will be some very practical sessions, such as grant writing and how to create a welcome program for skilled migrants, to give practitioners the skills they need to create a fertile business environment.
This is the key economic and regional development event for Queensland Local Government and we invite you to make the most of this very valuable learning and networking opportunity. To register, visit www.lgaq.asn.au and look for The Economic Regional Development Conference under Key Events.
