A milestone of success

2007 marks the tenth year for the highly successful Local Government conference on IT organised by the Coffs Harbour City Council. From humble beginnings with a modest number of delegates and sprinkling of exhibitors, these conferences have grown into the premier Local Government IT event every year and a benchmark for others to follow. Being the ten year milestone for the event, the conference team are busily working to ensure that it surpasses all predecessors.

IT2007 is scheduled for 13-16 November 2007 in beautiful Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. The conference provides a forum for Local Government managers and support staff to network, learn and exchange ideas. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘PRODUCTIVITY’. The conference seeks to help the Local Government IT professional, identify the real IT needs of their organisation and help them to greater productivity.

The presentations this year will focus on:

  • IT best practices
  • cutting edge and emerging IT technologies
  • Council case studies
  • industry and government trends
  • management skills and techniques
  • personal/professional growth and development.

Also included are case studies from a number of Councils that have implemented successful IT strategies and enlightening presentations from quality IT industry professionals.

The conference organisers are currently calling for papers on the aforementioned topics from suitably qualified IT professionals, Local Government IT managers and relevant organisations.

Registration will shortly be available from the conference website at it2007.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/
