NSW Procurement is proud to present two significant procurement events at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22-23 November. Contracts on Show, has been an annual exhibition for New South Wales Government contracted suppliers, offering a unique opportunity for procurement professionals and government buyers from State, Local and not-for-profit organisations to view and understand goods and services available. This year’s event has been enhanced by the introduction of the Procurement Forum, a two day seminar and workshop program on current developments and innovations across government procurement.
A changing NSW demands action and an affirmative government and public sector. Premier Morris Iemma recently announced that one of NSW Government’s priorities was to free up resources for frontline services. To deliver on this priority, the Premier’s Memorandum 2006-2011 on NSW Procurement Reforms was released and gives effect to a number of key initiatives including, the requirement for all agencies, other than State Owned Corporations, to use the State Contracts Control Board’s (SCCB) whole of government contracts, where they are available when purchasing goods and services.
Contracts on Show 2006 and Procurement Forum will enable procurement professionals and government buyers to:
- learn from the experts on the changes within government procurement
- discover how NSW Procurement can add value to their organisation
- meet approved government suppliers
- update their procurement skills to stay ahead of the game
- source solutions and services that add value.
We hope you find this year’s events both enjoyable and of practical benefit.
