Major procurement savings *

State Procurement develops and manages goods and services contracts on behalf of the State Contracts Control Board (SCCB) for use by New South Wales Government departments and agencies and not-for-profit organisations. State Procurement delivers innovative business solutions at exceptional value through harnessing across government purchasing power. On average, cost savings through purchasing from SCCB contracts is estimated at 12 per cent for medium to large agencies and 25 per cent for small agencies. Over 150,000 items are available through 160 contracts.

All suppliers are selected through a rigorous tender selection process. smartbuy – NSW Government Electronic Marketplace

The NSW Government’s electronic marketplace,  smartbuy, will streamline procurement between contracted suppliers and buyers and allow buyers to search, browse, request for quotes and information, and purchase online.

  • helps organisations to improve their procurement management
  • allows organisations an easy and more effective way to find and purchase goods online
  • assists in developing strategic relationships with suppliers
  • features powerful reporting tools that can deliver detailed purchasing intelligence, providing better information on purchasing activities.
