Ever wondered what makes the retail industry tick

The Australian Centre for Retail Studies (ACRS) provides non retailers who interact with the retail industry the opportunity to come up to speed quickly on key issues and trends in the retail industry.

With access to timely consumer data and the latest retail information from around the world, the ACRS, part of Monash University, conducts customised research, delivers presentations at conferences or seminars and develops and delivers tailored management development programs to suit specific client requirements.

The centre is currently taking registrations for its annual International Retail Study Tour which is the ultimate way to gain a first hand insight into the latest retail developments and initiatives overseas.

The 2005 tour departs on 14 February. It will visit Los Angeles, New York, London, Stockholm and Tokyo, giving participants the opportunity to gain a perspective on the latest retail trends, across four very different countries.

The centre pre-arranges visits and presentations with key retailers, shopping centres and urban retail developments.

Because the tour group is limited to a maximum of 20 there is also the opportunity to flex the itinerary to suit individual requirements.

If you would like to know more about the International Retail Study Tour or about how the Australian Centre for Retail Studies can help you, please contact ACRS via email acrs@buseco.monash.edu.au or telephone (03) 9903 2455.
