Celebrating ten years of research, education and supporting young people

As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations the Centre for Adolescent Health Education and Training Unit is launching its 2001 workshop series. The Education Unit has focused on meeting the needs of both community members and professionals who wish to further their knowledge and experience.

This series is designed to support the application of research to practice and to provide space for further discussion and development of best practice responses to young people.

Research informs us that the pathways of young people towards connectedness and resilience is affected by their interactions with family, community and the service sector. Therefore, it is pivotal to be aware of how we interact with them.

The continued innovation of appropriate ways to support young people strengthens community and helps to foster a sense of belonging.

Each of the workshops seek to disseminate and apply the most recent national and international research to improve the health and wellbeing of young people and engage in discussion and debate.

The workshops will be lead by a formidable cast of expert practitioners and researchers whose proven ability to apply their knowledge has underpinned the Centre’s commitment to young people.

With ten years of experience in adolescent health we look forward to engaging the community this way.
