CivEnEx 2002 bigger and better

CivEnEx 2002 will be held at the Sydney Showground at Homebush Bay in Sydney’s inner west on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 May 2002. Sydney Showground provides a new all weather site for CivEnEx with undercover stands and outdoor exhibit areas. Exhibitors and visitors will be impressed with the access and amenities that the venue provides.

CivEnEx brings together a wide cross section of visitors, including civil engineers, contractors, Local Government engineers, works Officers and councillors, purchasing officers, civil engineers, company directors, health professionals, federal, state and local authority officers, architects, landscapers, mining engineers and consultants.

Exhibitors at CivEnEx include representatives from right across the range of products and market segments, including construction and road building equipment; trucks, trailers and loading equipment; cranes and elevated work platforms; crushing, screening and mining; turf care, landscaping and outdoor design; environmental technology and water treatment; street furniture and playground equipment; arbor equipment, chippers and saws; safety clothing and equipment; engineering and estimating software and computers; pipe testing and maintenance equipment; bridges and pre-cast concrete and more.

In conjunction with CivEnEx, on Tuesday 14th May 2002, the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (IPWEA) will host the inaugural ‘Public Works Infrastructure Forum’. Delegates will see representatives from Government and invited guest speakers confront current issues facing the Public Works and Construction Industries, and hear about the most up to date trends in planning, financing and delivery of a range of infrastructure projects.

Attendance at CivEnEx 2002 is free to the trade. Parking is available at nearby car parks and rail links from Sydney Airport run regularly. There is ample accommodation available in Homebush Bay or close by at Rose Hill.

CivEnEx 2002 is an initiative of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia (NSW Division). For further information contact Frank Sticka on (02) 9716 7391 or view the Internet site at www.civenex.com.
