Tasmanian printer services clients nationwide

What does someone from business or government really need when requiring printing? According to Aden Carter, National Sales Manager for the Harris Print Group, it’s all about solutions.

“Today’s commercial printer needs to assist clients to understand how the applications of print can be used to improve the running of their operations,” he said. “Whether that be tastefully designed brochures and reports, or community newsletters to promote services and programs, business cards, letterheads and envelopes, the choices are many.”

One of the many advantages of Harris Print is that it is part of a large publishing group with over 109 years experience. With the very latest in graphic and press technology, Harris Print can receive copy as an email document from anywhere in Australia.

Harris Print is a company on the move. Its client base includes customers nationwide in nearly all major centres. Until recently it has printed and delivered fortnightly newspapers for our Defence personnel based in East Timor. Located in Burnie on the north west coast of Tasmania, each day Harris Print ships printing products nationwide using mainly Tasmanian paper, from leading suppliers of paper to printers across Australia.

With offices in Burnie, Devonport and Melbourne, along with alliances in Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Hobart, Harris Print is well placed to meet needs of all organisations in terms of general commercial printing. Located in the company’s Melbourne office, Aden Carter said that over the past two years, Harris Print has secured numerous print contracts for a number of Councils in Melbourne.

“This has ensured that additional contacts have been made along the way, including printing Local Government FOCUS distributed to Councils across Australia.”

Managing Director of Eryl Morgan Publications, the publisher of Local Government FOCUS, Corinne Morgan said that the feedback received from readers and advertisers since moving to Harris Print in October 2001 has been excellent.

“Its technical support, customer service, on time delivery, quality product and price have met all expectations,” she said. “We moved to Harris Print following the recommendation of one of its long standing Council clients.”

Rapidly advancing technology means a variety of products can be printed in full colour efficiently and at a realistic cost.

“Combined with our strong customer focus and a desire to build long term relationships, this can only lead to positive results for both parties,” Aden Carter said. “There will always be a need for proactive printers dedicated to ensuring the that the customer is always part of the process of print.”
