At the Annual General Meeting of the ALGA, which followed the National General Assembly, Councillor Mike Montgomery, representing the New South Wales Shires Association, was elected President.
Joining him on the Executive is Councillor Brad Matheson from the Municipal Association of Victoria who was elected Senior Vice President. Councillor Paul Bell representing the Local Government Association of Queensland was elected Junior Vice President.
