Mackay is proud to have won the right to host the 2004 Local Government Association of Queensland Annual Conference.

“This is the first time the conference will be held here and we are looking forward to welcoming around 1,000 delegates to our City,” said Mayor Julie Boyd.

To be staged from 30 August to 2 September, delegates are encouraged to come earlier, stay longer or both. Enjoy secluded beaches, quiet fishing retreats, spectacular rainforest, world class golfing, all the attractions of a vibrant regional City centre, topped off with warm country hospitality.
