Technology conference
Coffs Harbour 16–19 November 2004
2004 sees the seventh Information Technology Conference for Local Government – IT2004, scheduled for 16–19 November in beautiful Coffs Harbour. Hosted by Coffs Harbour City Council, the conference provides a forum for Local Government managers and support staff to network, learn and exchange ideas.
The theme for this year’s conference is evolution. In the provision of Information Technology, managers are required to adapt, evolve and grow. It is survival of the fittest and they need to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.
As the theme indicates, the conference has also evolved over the last eight years into the premier Local Government event in Australasia.
“We are pleased to announce a new venue for this year’s conference – the home of the Wallabies – the beautiful Novotel Pacific Bay Resort,” Adam Young, IT Manager, said.. “Our major sponsors this year are Telstra Country Wide, HP Australia and EMC/Vmware/Aeronaut consortium.”
The conference program is nearing completion with a printed version being available late August/early September. Registration forms are available now from the web site at it2004.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/
This year’s conference will focus on:

- council case studies
