The home of the lesser known mini wave rock, Narembeen Shire Council is setting out to make sure that more people know about the site.
Chief Executive Officer, Alan Wright, said Council had allocated funds to help promote the tourist signs throughout the Shire. While Western Australia’s Wave Rock is well known and attracts more than 100,000 people each year, Narembeen’s mini wave rock is also an important geological feature and it is only 80 kilometres away.
Alan Wright said the signs would help direct people to the region’s other tourist sites, such as Gnamma Holes, Roe Lookout, Roe Dam as well as the town museum and display centre.
Narembeen is situated 286 kilometres from Perth in the wheatbelt area of Western Australia. It is predominantly an agricultural region with the main agricultural areas being cereal cropping, cattle and sheep.
