Our Community Pty Ltd, in partnership with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Municipal Association of Victoria, deliver the national brokerage service for community business partnerships – an initiative of the Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership.
The service, funded by the Department of Family and Community Services, assists community groups and small to medium businesses to identify a suitable partner and discover the benefits that can come from business and community working together.
Key features of the service include an online matching service on the website; email and phone line advisory service; toolkits of ‘How To’ and ‘Help Sheets’; a project Newsletter and a database of consultants to assist community business partnerships.
A recent addition to the service is the Train the Trainer module specifically developed for Local Governments interested in conducting their own community business partnership seminar. The Train the Trainer Resource Kit comprises two parts:
- Trainer Preparation Resource
- Training Tool Kit /presentation for community groups and businesses.
