The Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM), University of Technology Sydney, has been working to further develop the vibrant and rapidly developing events area in Australia. In taking up this challenge ACEM has initiated a variety of courses designed to progress professionalism in the field. Central amongst these efforts has been its Executive Certificate program in event management.
Now in its tenth year, this course has been delivered to over 3,000 people in Australia and locations around the world including London, Singapore, Edinburgh, Auckland, Kuching and Kuala Lumpur. Taught by the authors of the key text, Festival and Special Event Management, John Allen and Rob Harris, the program encompasses the key skill and knowledge areas associated with event creation, planning, delivery and evaluation.
Over the past three years ACEM has been working with Victoria University, itself a major player in the field of event management education and training, to deliver the Executive Certificate program in Melbourne.
This program will again be offered in 2006 on 25-28 September at Victoria University’s City Campus, 300 Flinders St, Melbourne.
