Integrated risk management in the workplace*

From modest beginnings in 1989, ESP – Environmental & Safety Professionals has grown to become a leading consultant in the environmental, occupational health and safety, training and hazardous material fields. To compliment and extend these services the parent company, Enviro-Net Australia, recently acquired The Safety Business, with both companies operating out of the same offices.

Principal Risk Management Consultant, Frank Mistretta, has extensive experience within Local Government having successfully implemented, managed and integrated risk management strategies into the City of Darebin.

Maintenance of an in house NATA Accredited Laboratory and highly experienced professional consultants enable ESP and The Safety Business to offer regulatory and technical expertise in areas of hazard identification and risk assessment, OH&S management, safety systems and compliance auditing, monitoring and identification for asbestos, and staff training programs tailored to address local workplace issues.

With offices in Launceston, Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle a full range of services can now be provided to the entire east coast of Australia and Tasmania.

The growing expertise of ESP and The Safety Business is best demonstrated by the expansion of its client base to include conducting safety audits for Coca Cola Amatil and Greater Southern Area Health Services, OH&S training in conjunction with RMIT, OH&S Management Systems for the Australian Institute of Mathematics and the provision of environmental and hazardous materials services to Hobsons Bay City Council, Baulkham Hills Shire Council and the University of Melbourne.
