A focus on people, places and planning for the future

The diverse needs and expectations of Vincent’s residents and ratepayers are the focus of the Town’s social sustainability programs and initiatives. With an extensive community development program that targets the current and future needs of the community, Vincent offers a range of events, including summer concerts, informative library forums, responsible dog ownership sessions, health information, Cappuccino Festivals and community barbecues; as well as support services, recreation and social interaction opportunities.

Recognising the efforts of its community to enhance the Vincent experience, the Town also offers a range of awards, competitions, grants and incentives.

The Vincent Art Awards have grown to become a premier event on the Perth Arts calendar, while the Visions of Vincent Photographic Competition showcases the physical beauties of the Town.

Local History Awards also help to preserve Vincent’s unique history and the Building Design and Conservation Awards highlight the architectural styles in the Town.

Grants and incentives are provided for a range of purposes, such as cultural seeding, heritage assistance, sports, youth and welfare.

Each division – from health to ranger and community safety services, engineering to waste management, customer service to parks, community development to finance, building and heritage to library services – works towards the Vision, Purpose and Guiding Values of the Town.
