Local focus with a broad outlook

The Town of Vincent’s outlook extends past the community’s immediate needs of today to the long term sustainability of the Town. A key issue for Local Government is economic sustainability and Vincent is fiscally responsible with a relatively conservative outlook, augmented with vision and creativity.

Despite being relatively small, Vincent has been and continues to be involved in a number of major projects of great interest to major stakeholders, both local and national, which include collaborative partnerships with State Government departments and agencies. The Town’s infrastructure and facilities not only benefit the Vincent community, but broader Western Australian interests.

The soon to be completed Loftus Centre Redevelopment, while doubling the size of the Vincent Library, also provides a state of the art sporting facility for Western Australia, incorporating the State Gymnastics Centre.

Beatty Park Leisure Centre is an iconic aquatic facility also due to undergo an overhaul to bring it to the forefront of innovative design.

Members Equity Stadium is home to soccer and rugby and Medibank Stadium is a fixture on the Aussie Rules circuit.

With the former East Perth Power Station within Vincent’s boundary, the redevelopment of this site is set to be a major project within the State, and the implementation of the Leederville Masterplan will be the most significant development project Vincent has ever undertaken.

The Leederville area is one of Vincent’s major community hubs and is valued in the vicinity of $600 million. The holistic Masterplan project will see Leederville become the centrepiece of a visionary social, economic and environmental development.
