Following on from the very successful conferences in 2005 and 2007, the third National Landfill and Transfer Station Conference will be held in Hobart, Tasmania from 26 to 28 August 2009.
This year’s conference theme, ‘Operating in a Carbon Constrained Environment’, has been adopted to focus transfer stations and landfill operations on the new challenges now facing the industry sector as we approach the introduction of emissions trading and the effects it will have on the waste management industry.
Day 1 of the conference program will include site visits to landfills, transfer stations and other facilities in the Hobart area.
Days 2 and 3 of the program will comprise keynote, technical and case study presentations as well as a trade exhibition.
