Peer based strategy development and problem solving*

HardyGroup International is the leading provider in Australia and New Zealand of Whole of Government Executive Learning Sets.

These are peer based strategy development and problem solving groups whose mission is to develop change management strategies to deal with current, real and strategic problems for which each member has to deliver results.

Problems may be system, organisational or people based. Members leave each meeting with a plan of action that includes a rigorous risk management assessment.

There are three tiers of Learning Sets:

  • Tier One – Chief Executive or their equivalent
  • Tier Two – Directors of Operations, Chief Finance Officers or their equivalent • Tier Three – Next generation leaders

Learning Sets have only one rule – confidentiality. This builds trust and the willingness to genuinely work at being a consulting and advisory team for each other.

The process is rigorous and constructive and is managed by a facilitator who has the ‘scars of battle’ from having been a CEO or Operations Director in a large public sector organisation.

Membership is drawn from Federal and State Government organisations in Australia and New Zealand.

The current membership is asking HardyGroup International to add Local Government executives to the membership profile in order to create broader cross sector strategy groups.

The oldest Sets are 12 years old so are an executive development initiative with a proven track record for delivering results and which provide a clear return on investment for organisations and individuals.

Testimonials have included, “the best professional development that I get as a CEO” and “I implement the change strategies that are created at Set meetings with great results!”
