Councils opt for low energy lighting solutions*

Valen Light Technologies is a global manufacturer of high end LED lighting products for street and outdoor applications.

Valens engineered its unique VLED technology after conducting extensive research on international roadway lighting standards. The systems are extremely functional. Their luminance and uniformity provide a straight replacement of gas discharge lighting systems, while reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption by up to 75 per cent.

Valen Light Technologies, together with Solar Streetscapes, have been tasked with providing innovative lighting solutions for various organisations.

This includes Ballina Shire Council, which is installing VLED STREET 100 watt Grid powered lighting systems through one of its main streets, with pole spacing of 55 metres, replacing 250 watt HPS to meet Cat V5, AS1158.

Fairfield City Councilís open space solar carpark project uses VLED STREET 40 watt solar lighting systems on aluminium poles. This includes the latest with ZERO concrete footing systems, delivering double the required illumination for P11C, AS1158.

Berri Barmera Council in South Australia is currently installing VLED STREET 20 watt solar lighting on galvanised poles for park and pathway lighting needs to meet CAT P4, AS1158.

Councils are always looking for products that are as vandal resistant as possible. The VLED product series are an appealing option for public areas as their bollard, ground and shelter lighting products are encased in ëUTEí Ultra Transparent Epoxy and placed into strong aluminium mouldings.
