Show Me Perth

Finding what is on in the City of Perth has just got a lot easier with the launch of the Council’s new website – showmeperth.com.au

Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said that this new website provides a one stop shop for people looking for information about the city.

“We have designed Show Me Perth to help visitors and residents find out about city retailers, new events and places to wine and dine,” the Lord Mayor said. “We have so much happening in the city and we hope that this new site will help open people’s eyes to our growing calendar of world class arts and cultural events.”

Focusing on events and businesses that operate within the City of Perth’s boundaries, the website covers the CBD, West Perth, East Perth and most of Northbridge. It will also feature video reviews from city events and photo galleries.

The driving factor for the development of Show Me Perth came from the City’s 2009 public consultation study, ëWe Hear You’, which identified the need for a comprehensive ëwhat’s on’ guide for the City of Perth and listed it as an ëaction project’.

“People asked for a definitive, all inclusive, ëone visit’ website that shows we have it all – that on any given night there is so much choice and diversity in our city,” Lord Mayor Scaffidi said.

Council plans to introduce Show Me Perth social media accounts in the coming months to further engage with online communities.

The site will be regularly updated and anyone planning a public event, large or small, can contact the City of Perth with their event details.
