Join high profile international keynote speakers, Sir Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group and Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Mayor of New York City, along with some of the world’s most influential city and business leaders when Brisbane hosts the 2011 Asia Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) in July 2011.
The 2011 APCS will attract over 1,000 business and civic leaders from more than 100 cities across the Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
Held from Wednesday 6 to Friday 8 July 2011 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, the biennial Summit is an initiative of Brisbane City Council and supported by the Queensland Government as Principal Partner.
Themed, ‘The Business of Cities’, the 2011 APCS will showcase world-renowned speakers, presentations and case studies focusing on three streams: the business of green cities, the business of smart and connected cities, and the business of growing cities. The Summit also features an international business matching program to facilitate any city interested in progressing and learning about potential business opportunities, connecting with delegates, sponsors and other government agencies.
Brisbane Lord Mayor, Graham Quirk invites all Australian mayors to participate in the Summit and to share ideas and solutions to global challenges.
Councillor Quirk also encourages mayors to bring a delegation of key government and trade and investment representatives to progress their city’s economic development goals.
