An online calendar launched in August will offer a central point of reference to all business training and development opportunities offered in the City of Dubbo.
The Dubbo Training Events Calendar will help increase capacity, connections and efficiencies of local businesses and workers.
The calendar is a joint initiative of Dubbo City Council and the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and can be found at www.dubbochamber.com.au
The calendar was launched by Council’s Economic Development Officer, Josie Howard, the Chamber President, Andrew Toole, and Vice President Megan Dixon. Representatives of various training and community organisations also attended the launch.
Ms Howard said the calendar aligned with Council’s Dubbo Economic Development Strategy.
“We are pleased to be able to work with Chamber and support them on this initiative as it is a common goal for the City and will assist local businesses and industries to grow and prosper.
“It will also form a planning tool for Council and other training organisations to identify gaps in business events and networking.”
Ms Dixon said the calendar also aligned with the Chamber’s charter of supporting business growth and development.
“We are thrilled to be working with Council on the initiative.
“The response that we have had from members and partners in the calendar has been really positive – they all see the benefit of a central calendar for business events, not only for helping them to promote their events, but also from a planning and coordination point of view.”
