Fremantle invites all to ‘Be part of the story’

The city of Fremantle has completed a major overhaul of its branding with the launch of its ‘Be part of the Story’ marketing campaign.

Looking to promote Fremantle’s strengths including its artistic, cultural and festive roots, the large-scale project creates a hub and consistent branding for all upcoming events in Fremantle.

The project’s centerpiece is a new website that will collect and sort local tourist attractions, major events and upcoming festivals at www.fremantlestory.com.au
The new brand and website is the result of a comprehensive review of the city’s place marketing strategy.

Fremantle Mayor, Dr Brad Pettitt, said the branding reflected Fremantle’s position as a thriving urban center with a difference.

“We’re fiercely proud of our unique heritage and culture but we’re also looking to the future. This campaign is there to remind people that Fremantle has a great range of things to experience that simply can’t be replicated elsewhere,”

The rebranding was prompted by a recent consumer survey, which concluded that Fremantle residents were interested in unique events happening around the city and would benefit from a single location where they could find all their information.

Fremantle businesses and organisations will have full control over their own listings and events on the new website.

Fremantle will also feature many colourful banners, footpath stencils and a major social media campaign to promote the major rebranding effort.
