Four defibrillators have been bought by Councillors to improve safety in the Fraser Coast region.
The units were bought from the Councillor’s Discretionary Funds.
They will be placed in: the Burrum District Mens’ Shed; Burrum Community Centre; Toogoom Community Hall; and the Toogoom RSL.
A First Responders First Aid Kit will also be placed in the Aldershot Community Hall.
Community Resilience Portfolio Councillor Rolf Light said, “We are gauging support to develop an app that pin points the nearest defibrillator to the user.
“In America people download the app on to their phone and in an emergency find out where the nearest unit is available.
“The first step is to find out where units are located across the Fraser Coast.”
