LGPro is running two events this month for Victorian women working in local government.
The two events promoting professional development for women are being held on Thursday 21 July at Melbourne Park.
Hosted by LGPro, the 2016 Women’s Professional Development Forum and Women’s Network Dinner, will focus on the issues, opportunities and challenges facing women working in the local government sector.
The forum supports career development and will provide personal growth strategies and shared approaches to addressing these issues.
High profile keynote speakers on the bill are writer, speaker and feminist thinker, Clementine Ford, and five time Australian Olympian and advocate, Jacqui Cooper.
Dr Susan Carland – who was included on the list of 20 Most Influential Australian Female Voices by The Age, and listed as one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World–will speak at the dinner following the forum.
