In most towns across Australia a citizenship ceremony is also held, with thousands of people choosing to become Australian citizens on our national day. These ceremonies play a central role in Australia Day celebrations and are always a joyous occasion as we welcome our very newest Australians.
The Australian citizenship affirmation is a valuable inclusion in your citizenship ceremony, or other official Australia Day events, as it gives the whole community an opportunity to unite in celebration of our shared values as Australians. The Australian citizenship affirmation is a short statement based on the citizenship pledge made by new citizens which enables all Australians to affirm their loyalty to Australia and its people.

You can also order special edition Australia Day affirmation cards free of charge, which can be placed on seats or handed to guests as they arrive at your event so everyone can participate in the
affirmation.
