Northern Midlands Council was an eager participant in Magical Parks this year celebrating Parks Week, 2018.

Council nominated Valentine Park in Campbell Town to host the event as one of only three locations available across Tasmania.

Magical Parks is an exciting new augmented reality game app with an environmental twist – EverGreen. Turning recycling and rubbish collection into a fun and exciting game for kids, which rewards them for being responsible for their environment. EverGreen encourages kids and families to get out and explore their local parks whilst learning the fundamentals of recycling.

Magical Parks is hosted nationally with almost 200 registered parks participating in last years event.
