Businesses support community events

Shire of Mundaring, Western Australia, is calling on local businesses to support local families to support them this summer.

The Shire’s new ‘Summer of Entertainment’ community events series, unveiled in November, will incorporate the popular Cinema Under Starlight initiative and introduce Twilight Tunes, a series of concerts at the Mundaring Community Sculpture Park Amphitheatre.

In addition, Mundaring Chamber of Commerce has invited local hospitality businesses to participate by providing pre-ordered picnic hampers to be collected at the vendor prior to the events.

Local businesses will also be asked to offer meal deals or specials that event goers can access at the business prior to or at the conclusion of events.

Participating businesses are also being asked to decorate their shop fronts with blue lights to let those attending the entertainment series know that they are offering special meal deals and encourage patronage.

With eight free events planned, the new expanded community events calendar will provide opportunities for residents of the Perth Hills to come together in a casual setting and enjoy a family evening without having to leave the Shire.

Registration for free tickets is via an online booking system, hosted by the Mundaring Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s season has been made possible thanks to partnerships with Perth Airport Corporation, Lotterywest, Mundaring Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank and the Mundaring Chamber
of Commerce.
