AFAC24 powered by INTERSCHUTZ Conference and Exhibition

AFAC24 powered by INTERSCHUTZ brings a broad spectrum of emergency management and first response practitioners together to learn and share experiences.

From 3-6 September, at the ICC Sydney they will mark the history of the event over the past three decades as it celebrates its 30th year.

AFAC24 is expected to grow from the 2023 edition in Brisbane which attracted record attendance of over 4,000 emergency management, disaster resilience and first responder personnel.

The theme for the AFAC24 Conference is very much taking a future focus. Presentations and discussions across the event will be united by the theme ‘Embracing innovation and disruption: designing the future for our sector.’

The conference theme recognises the immediate need for fire and emergency services and first responders to adapt to be prepared for the future. Resource constraints, declining volunteer numbers and a changing climate drive the need for organisations to think differently and look for new solutions, and creating an inclusive culture that encourages new ideas and diversity of thought is key. AFAC24 will explore how we can foster new thinking to ensure we are prepared for the challenges we face now, and into the future.

Conference tickets will offer attendees access to over 100 presenters – local and international thought leaders, including keynotes. The multi-streamed AFAC Conference combines the Australian Disaster Resilience Conference and the Institution of Fire Engineers (Australia) National Conference. On Friday 6 September 2024, there will be a dedicated Professional Development Program, offering further learning opportunities such as workshops and field trips.

Complementing the conference is the AFAC24 powered by INTERSCHUTZ trade exhibition which will occupy 18,000 plus gross sqms of indoor and outdoor exhibition space occupied by hundreds of exhibiting companies, both national and international.

These exhibitors will showcase hundreds of local and global brands, throughout the exhibition halls on level 4 of the ICC Sydney.

AFAC24 powered by INTERSCHUTZ has grown into a world-class event and will showcase the latest innovative products, services, solutions, and the future of emergency management and first response innovation.

The trade exhibition provides the most comprehensive range of emergency management, first responder, rescue and infield operational products, services, and solutions to the thousands of industry audience attendees who work every day to protect life and property.

Within the trade exhibition, the Solutions Theatre provides a program of practical presentations aimed at helping those at the frontline of emergency management and first responders learn about the practical applications of the technology, services and solutions provided by our exhibitors.

AFAC24 would like to thank our host agencies, without whom this event would not be possible: ACT Emergency Services Agency, ACT Parks and Conservation, Fire and Rescue NSW, Forestry Corporation of NSW, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Services, NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW State Emergency Services and Surf Life Saving NSW.
