Issac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker’s first Charity Ball was an outstanding success, raising $36,578.93 for beyondblue.
Mayor Anne Baker extended a heart-felt thank you to everyone who contributed to the great night of dancing and fundraising.
“I was very honoured to host the event and make a positive contribution to beyondblue and their work in communities.
“It simply would not have been possible without the strong support from sponsors, guests and donors.”
More than 270 guests opened their hearts and wallets at the Charity Ball.
The stylish black and white themed evening included a three-course meal, live entertainment by Mezzanine, raffles, charity auction and dancing at the Moranbah Community Centre.
“With depression and anxiety affecting one in six Australians, many of us have been affected by these conditions, either personally or through a partner, family member or friend.
“It’s important we all understand anxiety and depression are common and treatable.”
