Local Government FOCUS is pleased to announce its support of the Economic Futures North Queensland Conference to be held on the 24-25 July 2001.The inaugural ‘Economic Futures: North Queensland Conference’ will be held at the Jupiters Hotel in Townsville.

It will showcase a broad cross section of both Government and private industry sector representatives, helping to identify major opportunities for industry growth in North Queensland.

The conference will address matters of relevance and importance to regional business and government communities. The major features include over 20 speakers covering the following themes.

  • Gas, Power & Industrial Development
  • Special Projects, Property and Construction
  • Competitive Advantages for Your Business and Industry
  • Transport & Infrastructure.

Who will attend this event?

This event will attract investors, corporate decision makers and senior public servants from leading organisations with a strong business presence in North Queensland. Representatives will be sought from a wide variety of industries including energy, mining, utilities, transport, education, management, venture capital, tourism, primary industries, property and construction.

Public sector delegates will include those from Local, State and Federal Governments with a working interest in these industries, along with those with an economic, state and regional development policy making role. Other stakeholders and special interest groups will also be attracted to this event.
