IT2001 draws closer

It is now less than four weeks before IT2001 – Information Technology Conference and Trade Exhibit for Local Government. This conference will take place at Novotel Opal Cove Resort in beautiful Coffs Harbour on the 14 to 16 November 2001 and is the highlight of the Local Government IT events calendar.

The conference program includes a keynote presentation from David Ellyard, who has spent most of his working life involved in science and technology, and will be delivering a very exciting and inspiring presentation. Other presentations cover topics such as internet security, storage area networks, web technology, networking, performance management, and an abridged ITAC Applied Hacking and Countermeasures course.

A number of case studies from Councils and Local Government Associations will form an integral part of the program. The trade exhibit comprises quality sponsors and exhibitors, providing delegates with an insight into the latest developments, products and services.

The Gold Sponsors are Marconi Australia, Mycomport in partnership with Bendigo Bank and National Australia Bank in partnership with Omni Gatx. There is a broad range of products and services among the Silver and Bronze Sponsors who will all host exhibits at the conference. There are some Silver and Bronze sponsorship opportunities remaining. For further information please contact the conference coordinator.

Qantas will now be providing discounted airfares for conference participants.

Details and conference program and registration are available at the conference web site at www.chcc.nsw.gov.au/it2001.htm or telephone (02) 6648 4458.
