Kalgoorlie-Boulder gearing

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will be hosting two important road conferences at the end of June this year. It is expecting to attract delegates from throughout Australia to discuss issues relating to road and transport funding, including Auslink and related management practices.

ALGA National Local Roads Congress – Sunday 29 June to Tuesday 2 July

The Australian Local Government Association will be conducting its fourth National Local Roads Congress in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and will be looking to build on the topics covered at previous congresses. As a leading Australian outback conference venue, Kalgoorlie-Boulder expects to attract several hundred delegates. The Conference program will include opportunities for workshop interaction as well as plenary sessions. Over 100 registrations so far have taken advantage of the early bird discount. WA Annual Roads Forum – Friday 27 and Saturday 28 June

The Western Australian Local Government Association, in conjunction with Main Roads WA, will also be conducting their 2003 Annual Roads Forum in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The one day program, scheduled for Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, will satisfy the travel requirements of some 400 expected delegates. Mayoral Cup Race Day and Tours

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is keen to ensure that delegates and partners have both a productive and enjoyable visit to the City. Arrangements are being made with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club for the conducting of the Mayoral Cup Community Race Day on the afternoon of Saturday 28 June. Invitations have been extended to Road Conference delegates and sponsors where they can be assured of the type of welcome for which Kalgoorlie-Boulder is famous. A range of packages designed to show visitors the many aspects of Australia’s premier gold and nickel mining region are being arranged.
