IT2005 – call for papers

2005 sees the 8th Information Technology Conference for Local Government – IT2005, to be staged from 15–18 November in beautiful Coffs Harbour. The conference, hosted by Coffs Harbour City Council, provides a forum for Local Government managers and support staff to network, learn and exchange ideas.

The theme for this year’s conference is ABILITY – Knowledge, Persistence Determination – The Power to Succeed. With the right knowledge, persistence and a determined spirit – success is assured. IT2005 hopes to equip delegates with the right knowledge and the power to succeed.

“Our conference has also grown over the last nine years into the premier Local Government IT event in Australasia,” said Adam Young, IT Officer and conference organiser. “We are pleased to announce that once again the venue for this year’s conference is the home of the Wallabies – the beautiful Novotel Pacific Bay Resort.

The program is currently in development with previous delegates outlining the type of presentations they would like to see.

Coffs Harbour City Council is currently calling for papers on the above topics from suitably qualified IT professionals, Local Government IT managers and relevant organisations. More information on presenting at IT2005 is available on the web site.

Featuring a quality trade exhibition, delegates will see the latest in software, hardware and management solutions and have the chance to discuss their organisation’s specific needs with IT specialists.
