Is your council responding to the challenges or harnessing the benefits of migration, migrant settlement, citizenship or local cultural diversity? Would you like to see your council’s work recognised nationally?
Would your council benefit from sharing experience with others through the Australia wide Leading Practice Seminars? Then why not enter the 2005 Strength in Diversity category of the National Awards for Local Government.
This award, which comes under the community capacity building division, recognises local initiatives that respond to, promote and/or harness the benefits arising from migration, settlement, Australian citizenship, and our cultural diversity.
The winner of the 2004 Strength in Diversity award was Warrnambool City Council with its Migration to Warrnambool project.
