Industrial land in the right location

Seven industrial precincts with access to the Gwydir Highway, Pacific Highway, Summerland Way, North Coast rail line, power, water, sewer services, and telecommunications are open for business and investment.

Activity based on industrial land in the Valley is estimated at 22 per cent of the total gross regional product (GRP). This percentage of economic contribution is above the New South Wales average of 20.7 per cent and highlights the importance of the sector to the regional economy. Additionally, 17 per cent of employment is supported by the industrial sector.

Industrial precincts in the Clarence operate within a strategic planning framework that groups services, business types and infrastructure into locations with the capacity to support investor expectations.

In addition to these lands, Council is currently implementing an industrial
lands strategy, which will see more than
200 hectares made available in Maclean, South Grafton and Koolkhan/Trenayr.

Expansion areas in South Grafton and Trenayr are earmarked for transport, manufacturing and resource based industries.

The South Grafton and Trenayr precincts offer opportunities for the consolidation of manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and administration in locations with strategic transport advantages and a labour force ten minutes away.
