In February, Telstra, in partnership with Gosford City Council, ran eight free workshops at the Erina Library to help the community better understand the new digital technologies and how to get connected.
Gosford City’s Library Services Manager, Mr Alan Flores said that,
“The Telstra Technology and Information Workshops were a great initiative, with the sessions covering a variety of topics assisting both beginners and experts.
“Workshops included an iPad tutorial for seniors facilitated by local school students, information on Internet security and a technology ‘petting zoo’.
“Information sessions were also aimed at assisting local businesses in improving their bottom line through the integration of new technology.
“The variety of workshops meant that many differing groups from within our community were better informed about the technology available to them and how they can make use of it in their day-to-day lives,” said Mr Flores.
