Local Government Executives National Conference*

Plans are now underway for the fourth Local Government Executives (LGE) Conference – a popular forum established and run by Coffs Harbour City Council. The event will be held at the Novotel Pacific Bay Resort, Coffs Harbour from 2–4 March 2016.

Directors and Executives from the Local Government sector – essentially all those that sit immediately under the council GM/CEO level – from across Australia are once again being invited to network, learn and exchange ideas in March 2016.

The conference brings together experts from the worlds of government, business and academia to discuss a variety of current topics including leadership, strategic and integrated planning, innovation in community engagement, performance and people management, sustainability and leading through change.

It offers a variety of council case studies and keynote presentations from Paul De Gelder (shark survivor) and Mark McCrindle (TedX speaker and a social analyst), plus more.

The conference program will run for two full days and be opened by the Acting Chief Executive of the Office of Local Government, Mr Tim Hurst. The LGE conference provides an expert forum in which councils can identify and clarify the needs of their organisations so they can help their communities grow and prosper.

For delegates wishing to extend their stay over the weekend, a range of fun social activities are available including golf at Bonville International Golf Resort or fast-paced action at the F1 Go–Karting.

The sponsorship prospectus and online registration are now available and a $100 discount is available for delegates if you register prior to 1 December.
