Jobs to deliver for growing community

The City of Casey in Victoria is undertaking its biggest ever recruitment drive, offering more than 40 job opportunities across the organisation.

Across Council’s services, there’s a diverse mix of roles available for those looking to join a dynamic organisation delivering essential services and infrastructure for the largest and one of the fastest growing municipalities in Victoria.

City of Casey Acting Chief Executive Officer Sally Curtain said the roles were created and identified through Council’s recent organisation redesign, which included a six-month freeze on permanent appointments.

“Last year we undertook a significant organisational change to make sure Council was meeting the needs of residents and was operating as effectively and efficiently as possible.

“As our community grows, so do the demands on Council. We’ve worked hard over the past year to make sure we continue to deliver vital services across the municipality and these new roles reflect this.”

Ms Curtain said many of the roles supported important front line services to the community, such as Youth and Family Services and customer service.

“Council employs around 1450 people with over half of our employees living in the municipality, and we’re proud to be one of the largest employers in the region.”

Ms Curtain said that it is an exciting time to join the City of Casey.
“Bunjil Place is set to open later this year, ushering in an exciting new era of arts, culture and entertainment for Casey.

“Staff will move to Bunjil Place, giving them access to a state-of-the-art, flexible workplace with new technology, a range of workspaces and increased opportunities for collaboration.

“Council is also close to completing a three-year Efficiency and Effectiveness program to find long term savings with a focus on delivering more effective customer service.”
