Just as the temperatures cool down things are heating up for staff at The Pavilion Kiama.
The venue’s dynamic duo of Jackie Hall and Hope Prosser have been kept on their toes as bookings flood in.
“You’d think things would quieten down as autumn arrives, but if anything the opposite happens,” Jackie said.
“After Easter businesses start to think about the next financial year and planning their workshops, conferences and seminars.
Jackie said while there was now a chill in the air, there were a number of reasons why The Pavilion was handling so many corporate gigs.
“A few businesses are quickly trying to squeeze their meetings and workshops in before June 30, while others are getting in early for the new financial year.
“Also, it’s a pretty good time to be holding your function here in Kiama.”
“The sun may not be as strong and the water a bit colder but you’re not battling the summer crowds and traffic.
“That means you can also find some great accommodation options that are usually booked out over the summer, and you can easily get a table at any of the great cafes and restaurants around town.”
Jackie said while the water was cold, there was still plenty to do for those wanting to take some personal time after their workshop or seminar.
“It’s not all beaches and blowholes, we find the local vineyards do a booming business in the off-season, and people really enjoy all the bushwalks you can do in the nearby national parks.
“You may come for business, but you stay for pleasure.”
