Local government councils invited to reconnect communities*

Peak body and industry leader Parks and Leisure Australia invites all local government council workers involved in policy and planning management, maintenance of parks and leisure planning, and related fields, to get involved in the 2021 Parks and Leisure Australia National Virtual Conference, The Park Bench, Reconnecting Communities, 23-24 November 2021.

Parks and Leisure Australia CEO, Mark Band, said, “Over the past eighteen months, parks and leisure has played an important role in connecting communities, families and friends.

“Councils are responding to the challenges which local communities are facing and, looking at how they are going to move forward in the future to protect them.

“At this years’ national virtual conference, our esteemed industry experts from the US, New Zealand and Australia will share their insights and discuss resilience, stronger communities, future proofing, policy and strategy, sustainable development and environmental protection, and open spaces.”

The 2021 Parks and Leisure Australia National Virtual Conference will continue the connection of bringing everyone together on the Virtual Park Bench, enabling delegates to engage with like-minded peers and industry.

“I am proud that we continue to serve our local government members as we pivot our industry,” said Band.

Council workers can enhance their continuous professional development with CPD points and benefit from discounted group bookings for 5-10 staff.

The 2021 Parks and Leisure Australia National Virtual Conference is proudly supported by Green Life Group and Syngenta.
