In November 2008, a new Council was elected for the City of Bayside for the next four years.

Seven Councillors were elected to govern the City of Bayside across three Wards, replacing nine single member Wards.

Two Councillors represent the Northern and Southern Wards and three Councillors represent the larger Central Ward.

The current Council was due to elect a new Mayor in early December to replace Councillor Clifford Hayes (third from right), who has been a Councillor for five years.

The other six Bayside Councillors are (left to right) Michael Norris, Louise Cooper-Shaw, Simon Russell, Alex del Porto, Felicity Frederico and James Long.
