It is a handy resource for Local Government managers in that it provides information on employment, labour markets, working conditions and government assistance available to both employers and job seekers.
It also has useful links to training, career and volunteering information and opportunities. WorkPlace provides key links to professional and employer associations and to Local Government.
The WorkPlace web site is developed and maintained by the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and has been set up to make it easier to access online government information and services. It is part of the australia.gov.au initiative.
