Big jobs, small bucks with Australian road maintenance innovation PolyCom*

Road maintenance costs rise daily as construction becomes more challenging. The flow on effect is the inability to sustain acceptable standards for road users and ratepayers.

Always on the lookout for innovative and more efficient ways to work, many road agencies have turned to unique Australian product PolyCom Stabilising Aid.

PolyCom allows the use of materials on site, and promotes re-use of materials lost to table drains and roadsides using a simple rip and re-compact operation.

One of the unique attributes of PolyCom is its ability to bind many different types of materials enabling a solid pavement to be produced without importing new materials or re sheeting. PolyCom is so effective that it will pay for itself in the first year, with most roads requiring four to six times less maintenance grading or attention.

PolyCom is used for shoulder rebuilds, unsealed road rehab, maintenance grading, small and large failed patch restoration in sealed roads, construction of new roads, upgrades and hardstand pads, and parking areas as well.

Simple to use and understand, PolyCom is grader-mixed into the road up to 150mm depth, or greater depths using a mixer or stabilising machine. PolyCom treated roads are re-workable at any time, and have no time related issues when used on site.

Australia-wide distributors are on hand to assist in generating the best possible results, and provide on-site help and training until road crews are working comfortably with the product.

The environment and OHS credentials of PolyCom are industry-leading offering a low carbon footprint and transport savings.

As local governments continue to embrace the versatility and cost-effective nature of PolyCom, they generate savings by using the product on difficult to maintain roads with less than perfect materials. The uptake of PolyCom around Australia is testimony to the fact that the product is highly regarded, and fundamentally, a better solution than existing practises in many cases.

Contact your local PolyCom distributor on 1800 790 907 or visit roadmaker.com.au to help reduce road maintenance and construction costs for both sealed and unsealed roads.
